Shooting at Mission Essential
in Hinesville, GA on July 18, 2009
I have decided that perhaps a good way to continue to grow in both the sport of competitive shooting and in the art of self defense with a firearm would be to document the journey. Not only does it give me an opportunity to reflect on the experiences, but also may provide helpful information to others headed down the same path. I am also hopeful that some people will look at these pages and use my thoughts and experiences as a catalyst to get into the shooting sports and get more involved in the politics of the Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States. This site is dedicated at least as much to teaching myself as it is to informing others. I want to get a conversation started among the handgun shooting community so that I can get as much information as possible to help further develop my skills in IDPA and self defense.
I hope that you will participate in the discussion. I will not allow name-calling, flaming, or other rude behavior. I also ask that you use your real name, even if it is just your first name and last initial. If you believe in what you say, there is no need to hide your identity behind a screen name. If you disagree, I urge you to please do so in the comment sections. Again, I want to learn from this experience, and surrounding yourself with people who always agree is not conducive to development. Let's talk about it, and see if we can both gain another perspective. This site will be under development for quite a while and hopefully will become a great meeting place for civil discussions and exchanges of ideas and opinions.
Thank you for visiting.
